About the resort

Recreatiepark het Esmeer is located in picturesque Aalst, on the border of Gelderland and North Brabant. The holiday park is situated like a peninsula between the Esmeer and the Meuse, making it perfect not just for hikers or cyclists, but also for water sports enthusiasts. Various facilities can be found in and around the holiday park, including playing and sports fields, a large recreational lake with a sandy beach and a large playground, a cozy restaurant, a bread service, WiFi, a launderette, a snack bar, and a bar. Furthermore, you can also rent (electric) bicycles to explore the picturesque surroundings.  

The vacation park is surrounded by beautiful nature reserves, such as the enchanting Meuse River, recreational area the Neswaarden, and the mightily impressive De Biesbosch National Park. Please make sure to explore the picturesque villages in the area as well, or visit the pleasant city of Den Bosch. Whatever your day brings, Recreatiepark het Esmeer is always a great place to come home to.  

About the surroundings

Holiday park het Esmeer is located in an area with lots of water, in the forests of Gelderland, near Aalst and also close to Zaltbommel. The area offers both a rich history and marvellous nature reserves. That's why both nature and culture enthusiasts won't have to be bored for a moment here. Enjoy a day of sailing, paddleboarding, surfing or swimming at recreational lake het Esmeer. Discover the beautiful rural surroundings on foot or by bike or enjoy a day of sightseeing in one of the picturesque surrounding villages. There is also plenty to do in the area near Aalst. Visit one of the nice villages, visit Zaltbommel or one of the many museums, zoos, amusement parks or indoor and outdoor playgrounds in the area. In collaboration with Ticketsplus, the park offers many nice day trips in the area. You can buy tickets for many nice day trips at the park reception.
